Automated Hybrid Network & Monitoring Dashboard
AD-aware Windows infrastructure monitoring with PowerShell Remoting
Designed & Implemented by Vahid Rahmani
Description
A self-hosted read-only monitoring platform for my two-site Windows lab. It discovers domain computers through Active Directory and collects CPU, RAM, storage, uptime and service state through Kerberos-authenticated PowerShell Remoting / WinRM, while handling partial and offline states explicitly.
Key Features
AD Discovery
Discovers domain computers and maps infrastructure roles from directory data.
Authenticated Telemetry
Collects CPU, RAM, disks, uptime and service information through Kerberos-authenticated PowerShell Remoting.
Infrastructure Status
Tracks AD DS, DNS, DHCP, SMB, iSCSI and cluster-related states without treating unavailable data as zero.
Architecture
Active Directory discovery→Kerberos PowerShell Remoting / WinRM→bounded Python worker pool→FastAPI API and browser dashboard.
